Funny how prior to this, I never posted pictures of PCs I built Tongue

Here's one I built for the cousin of a friend of mine.

Cost him about $950 CAD

Specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H mATX LGA1150
CPU: Intel Core i5 4570
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon HD R7 260X 2GB
RAM: G.Skill 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL
SSD: Crucial M500 240GB
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB 24X SATA DVD Burner
Power Supply: Antec Basiq VP450 450W
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 Black with orange accents
Accessory: Additional SATA cable

Yeah, he got it yesterday and he's very happy with it. He chose the case himself Smile

He has a 1366 x 768 monitor, hence why the video card isn't that powerful. Figured that with his budget, he would be better served with a more powerful CPU and a SSD to make the system more future-proof and more responsive.

Just noticed that you can see my reflection on the case in the 2nd picture, with my white belt and *gasp* red shirt(!), hahaha.

Your not supposed to build it for them. Your supposed to teach them the ways of building so they can upgrade and know what to look for when things go wrong... unless this person is under 10 years old.

That said, I generally agree with that idea. Kind of the point of the website too and I get to make a living out of it Smile

I am about to do the same thing for a relative of mine. Might go off of a regular ~$600 workhorse build.
