Connecting Corsair A50 to motherboard - TwinTiger - 04-15-2012

So I got the suggested A50 heat sync and I'm installing it to my new MoBo, but the connector on the heatsync has only has a three port plug (like it should connect to the "sys fan 1" plug on the MoBo, not the 4-port plug that is labeled "CPU fan"

Should I just connect the heat sync to the "sys fan 1" port? Or leave the 4th plug on the "CPU fan" port open?

You can and should plug it in the 4 pins connector, so that the fan can adjust its speed automatically depending on your CPU temperature.

If you look closely at the connector on the motherboard, you should see a little latch that allows you to do just that.
