ASrock (as recommended) - Malefactor - 03-02-2012

Hi there, first of all I'd like to say what a great site I think this is. While I'm not new to building my own computers, there is a wealth of information here and I've learned a lot more just by reading your articles/guides.

Now to my question, a simple one (I hope!). As I have never used an ASrock motherboard, I'm curious as to their reputation as far as their quality and reliability. I'm guessing you wouldn't recommend a board that was "bad" but I've had some bad experiences in the past with other brands (an Asus board DOA for example). So, aside from the odd bad luck board, are they known for making good quality and reliable boards?

Thanks in advance!

ASRock is indeed known for making good boards, with good features at competitive prices, hence why I recommend them in many builds/Tiers.

Like with any other brand though, you can get unlucky and get a DOA board, but that's why you have 30 days to exchange it with Newegg/Amazon if that's the case.

Thank you for the quick reply! I figured as much but wanted to be sure.

Thanks again. Smile
