Final parts on the way. - Rook - 12-08-2010

Well I finally have everything on the way.

Started Black friday with.
AMD Phenom II X4 925 Deneb 2.8GHz $129 and comes with $15 newegg credit
and then ASRock 870 EXTREME3 AM3 AMD 870 for $79.99 on black friday. Newegg then gave $20 off for the combo. $189 for the pair + $15 in a credit.
Got the $35 Antec Two Hundred V2 case and the Antec Earthwats 650W PSU for $40 after rebate
Combod the case with Windows 7 home premium for only $75
Finally grabbed the ASUS combo DVD RW drive
So I'm at $357 after rebate with $15 in newegg credit
Last week I snagged the superbiz Samsung spinpoint F3 1TB 32mb cache HD for $50 shipped.
This morning picked up the $35 after rebate Kingston HyperX 4gb (2x2) 1600 RAM from Buy .com
Picked up a Coolermaster Hyper212+ and a tube of Arctic Silver for $30 shipped off Amazon
Finally got a MSI N460GTX Hawk GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 1GB for $160 after rebate and then used my $15 promo credit.

All told after rebates $615 for the build up a bit from the $500 or so I was planning but this includes windows 7 and a better GPU (was going to go with a 5770 or a GTS450 origionally, but these forums convinced me otherwise.) Will reuse my 2yr old Samsung 226BW 22' monitor on 1680x1050 for now.

Anything I should return or swap for a better deal? Thoughts

For $615 that's a hell of a deal. Nice buy. Should be awesome when you put it together.

Awesome build. Make sure to take pictures!

All the parts are here, minus the hyper 212+

Have tomorrow morning off from work so decided to build it with the stock cooler for now and upgrade in a week or so.

Got the psu in the case and the mobo on the box, gpu and ram in, and she POSTS!!

Now the much longer process of case assebly wiring and finding those darn headers.

Best to use your motherboard manual for the headers Wink

Glad to hear that your PC posts without any problem. Hope we get to see some pictures eventually Big Grin
