Hey everyone, this might get messy. A friend of mine and I are building new computers and we have our parts picked out. My friend's shipped and he tried to build earlier today and asked me to supervise. He took more safety precautions than I would have (anti-static wristband AND grounding mat) but he still ended up with a problem. As far as I could tell, he made no major mistakes when building except he jiggled the processor into place and when attaching the heatsink, it seemed like it might have been a bit too tight (if there's such thing). Anyways, this is his full build:

CPU: Intel i5 3750K
Cooling: Cooler Master 212 Hyper +
Mobo: Asus P8 Z77-V Pro
Graphics Card: HIS 7850 IceQ X 2GB
RAM: Corsair XMS3 8GB
Power Supply: HEC X-Power Pro 650W
SDD: Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 120GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1.5T
CD: Sony 24x DVD

When he finished and plugged in, the green light on the motherboard lit up, so it's getting power, but when the switch on the case is pressed, nothing happens. Any help is appreciated.
Just got a text from said friend… Apparently, you need to plug in the power cord for a computer to run -_-
