So I'm going to take the plunge next week and order the rest of the parts for my PC, thanks to the newly updated Mainstream Gaming PC article that was posted today.

Here's the current list of parts I plan to get, with a few that I'm still slightly deciding on, could use suggestions and opinions on the ones with two listed. Would be awesome.

Here it is:

CPU - Intel i5 2.8 GHz
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3
Ram - G.Skill RIPJAW (Purchased on Black Friday)
Video Card - MSI GeForce 460GTX
Storage - Samsung FE 500GB or 1TB (Toss up, see if I can spend that lil extra for the 1TB)
Optical Drive - ASUS Sata 24X DVD Burner

Now here's the ones I'm having a hard time deciding on.

Power Supply - SeaSonic S12II Bronze 520W or 620W

I tried to do the calculations for the power supply, but wasn't quite able to get it to work for me. Just seeing if I need that extra 100W really or not.

Case - Antec Three-Hundred Gaming Case or Cooler Master CM 690

This one, trying to see if there's a real big difference between the two. For me right now, is the cost.

So just seeing if what I have listed will do and could use opinions on the power supply and the case.

There is a big difference. You can't really compare those two cases. The Antec 300 Illusion is the competitor of the CM 690 II Advanced.

520W power supply will be fine.

So between the Antec 300 and the CM 690, just a matter of preference really? Or is the Cm 690 just better than the 300 overall?

ok i currently own the 300 case and it works great. perfect for what i needed. i think what andrew was saying the antec 300 illusion is a better comparison because the illusion comes with the fans in the front like the cm one does.

cm does has some advantages like tool free design. slots for ssd.

if you dont mind springing the extra like 20 bucks (including shipping). then maybe go with the cm but yeah pretty much personal preference. they are pretty even i think.

tonypizzle is correct. The Antec 300 does not have the two fans in the front that the Illusion does so of course it won't perform as well as the 690 II Advanced.

Alright, appreciate the information. I'll definitely post pics and maybe even a video of my build when I start on it next week.
